Question

Single-use plastic bags cause serious harm to marine ecosystems, yet shoppers ---- them because they are so cheap and convenient.

Accepted Answer

opt for — 'Yet' zıtlığı, zarara rağmen alışverişçilerin poşetleri tercih ettiğini belirtir; 'opt for' (tercih etmek) bu süregelen seçimi doğru karşılar. 'React against' (karşı çıkmak) tam tersi bir anlam taşır; 'switch off' ve 'look into' poşet kullanımıyla ilgisiz eylemlerdir.
