Paragraf (Reading)Diyalog ve Durum Tamamlama (Dialogue & Situation Completion)Zor
Your car broke down and you need to get to an important client meeting across town. A colleague offers to drive you there. You accept the offer and gratefully say:
AThanks, this is a huge help! I would definitely miss the meeting otherwise.Doğru cevap
BPlease do! I covered your shift last week, so you actually owe me one.
CYou really don't have to. I can just call a taxi.
DI really appreciate it, but no thanks, I can probably still make it on foot.
EMaybe I'll just take the bus, it's cheaper anyway.
Neden?
Amaç, teklifi minnetle kabul etmektir; doğru seçenek hem teşekkür eder hem de yardımın değerini ('I would definitely miss the meeting otherwise') belirtir. 'No thanks' ve 'You really don't have to' teklifi geri çevirir. 'You actually owe me one' ise minnet yerine hak iddia eder.
