The device is capable of ____ temperature changes as small as one hundredth of a degree.

Question

The device is capable of ---- temperature changes as small as one hundredth of a degree.

Accepted Answer

registering — 'Capable of' kalıbındaki 'of' bir edattır ve edatlardan sonra isim-fiil ('registering') gelir. 'To register' burada kullanılamaz; bu ancak 'able to register' kalıbında doğru olurdu. Bu iki kalıbın karıştırılması sık görülen bir hatadır.
