Question

It took the committee almost a year to ---- the discrepancies between the two sets of accounts.

Accepted Answer

look into — 'Look into' bir konuyu ayrıntılı biçimde araştırmak, incelemek anlamına gelir ve tutarsızlıkların soruşturulmasıyla uyumludur. 'Look after' bakmak, ilgilenmek; 'look up to' ise saygı duymak demektir. 'Look forward to' ise bir şeyi dört gözle beklemektir ve bu bağlama uymaz.
